In December, Say Fromage assisted Allez Studio by providing a photographic light painting experience for the showcase of the DS Automobiles latest Avant-Garde car, the Citroen DS5.
The experience was strongly inspired by Picasso’s incredible light paintings that he created in his later years.
Shoppers at Westfield’s White City were encouraged by our hosts to enter into the large blacked out room with a torch and create a light trail. The user would press the button inside and strike a pose. Once the camera flashed, they would generate the light trail by moving their torch freely around them.
The 5-second exposure allowed the camera to capture the person in focus while still recording the torch’s light trail in the dark. After the time was up, our hosts directed the users to the large touch screens outside the room, where the pictures were instantly displayed, ready for the users to view, print, share and upload their pictures onto social media.
In addition, all pictures were automatically uploaded to an online gallery, which was branded to match the campaign. Here shoppers were also able to download and share their pics whenever they wished.
